Iran is preparing to launch a strike against Israel, according to President Biden. Iran has been supporting its proxies in the region to attack Israel, whether Hamas in Gaza or the Houthis in Yemen.
Israel recently struck the Iranian embassy in Damascus, killing the Iranian Quds Force commander, the black operations side of their military. Similarly to when America killed Quds Force commander Suleimani in 2020, Iranian retaliated against US troops in the region.

President Biden has now officially stated that he believes the hypothesized Iranian attack on Israel will come “sooner rather than later” in a brief statement to the press.

Neither Israel nor Iran has the military capability to invade the other country’s territory. However, they can both strike each other with missiles, and intelligence operations including assassinations. Israel has nuclear weapons, but will likely not use them as the threat to itself is not high enough to warrant it. Iran also seeks to develop nuclear weapons, in part to prevent any retaliation for its terroristic activities overseas. Biden is showing that he is not a master of the situation, which is leading to further escalation in the region.
