Senator J.D. Vance from Ohio is on the shortlist for the Vice-Presidency. To show his fire, Vance went off on the corrupt prosecution targeting Trump. America’s News Desk says:

Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), whose election is in the balance this cycle, reportedly arguedon Sunday that former President Donald Trump is being prosecuted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg in a politically motivated case.

During a CNN interview, anchor Dana Bash asked Vance whether the fact that Trump is a former president vying for the White House should affect the way he is regarded amidst his legal battles.

“I don’t think he should be treated differently at all, Dana, but I certainly think he is being treated differently. The only thing that Alvin Bragg, the New York prosecutor’s team thinks Donald Trump did wrong is that he ran for president in 2024 and he looks to be on the cusp of victory. That is the only thing that this is ultimately about.” Vance said.

“If you look at the underlying argument of the case, they can’t even identify what it is that Donald Trump did. They said he committed a paperwork violation in the service of a crime, but they won’t even specify the crime that he allegedly committed. And I think that when you look at all of these attacks on Donald Trump, you have to be honest with yourself and say, this is not about law and this is not about justice.” he continued.

In an attempt to obscure detrimental information as part of a “catch-and-kill” strategy to sway the 2016 presidential election, Trump is charged with 34 felonies of falsifying business records to conceal payments, including to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

Although he has entered a not-guilty plea, the trial continues.

Vance, who was observed at Mar-a-Lago last weekend with other prospective Trump running mates, posited that prosecutors have a feeble case grounded in a legal theory that, according to some experts, is precarious due to its utilization in fabricating misdemeanor charges into felonies.

Less than six months prior to Election Day, polls indicated that Trump outperformed President Joe Biden.

Vance maintained that the New York prosecution and other legal proceedings initiated against the former president are merely a diversionary tactic.

Vance’s background as a Marine, lawyer, and difficult childhood, makes him a compelling candidate for Vice-President. Other top candidates in the running are Doug Burgum, Tim Scott, and Marco Rubio.
